October 9th Meeting Recap

The NC Triad chapter of the National Stuttering Association held its second meeting this past week on Tuesday October 9th. Four people were in attendance (two people who stutter and the co-chapter leaders). Karrie read the welcome words to open the meeting. The meeting started by everyone sharing one reason they're glad the last month (since the first meeting) was over and one thing they are looking forward to before the next meeting. We then discussed ideas of how to increase attendance at future meetings. The main topic of the evening was avoidance and how it impacts everyone's lives, even if you do not stutter. The meeting ended with Ryan reading the closing words. The next meeting will be on Tuesday November 13th from 7-9pm in the Claxton Room on the first floor of the Elliott University Center on the campus of UNC Greensboro.

10/9/07 Meeting Agenda

Next Tuesday the NC Triad chapter of the National Stuttering Association will hold its second meeting from 7-9pm in the Claxton Room on the first floor of the Elliott University Center on the campus of UNC Greensboro. We've had some inquiries from several people recently and hope to see all of you next week! The meeting agenda is to get to know any new folks and discuss the topic of avoidance. Do you avoid certain places, situations, or words because you think you might stutter? How does avoidance impact your life? Please contact us by email at nsagso at yahoo dot com if you have any questions about the upcoming meeting.
