December 2017 Meeting UPDATE

Due to illness I will not be at tonight's meeting of the National Stuttering Association.  If you still wish to go, the room is available.  If somebody wants to act as Chapter Leader tonight, let me know so I can send materials.

December 2017 Meeting

Our December meeting will be this coming Thursday.  Same time and place, 7pm Community room at Deep Roots Market.  This will be out last in face meeting for 2017.  If you need directions or anything at well, do not hesitate to reach out.  

November 17 Meeting

Our meeting this month will be Thursday Nov 9.  My hope is to discuss the topic "Should SLP's Treat People who Stutter?".  This has been a multi part series on the podcast, Stuttertalk.  If you haven't listened to any of the series, I highly suggest it.  It is not required, but there are some great talking points.  

We will meet at our usual location, the Community Room at Deeproots Market in Greensboro.  I hope to see you there!

October Meeting

Our meeting this month will be next Thursday, October 12 at 7pm.  We will meet in the Community room at Deep Roots Market.  I hope you can be there.

Special September Meeting

Our September meeting will be next week on Thursday September 14.  This will be a very special meeting, It will mark the 10th year we have been a chapter for the NSA!  That is crazy!  Ten years of helping fellow stutterers.  So this meeting will mean a lot to me personally as well.  We also will have a special guest joining us, the Adult Programs Co-Chair for the NSA, Mr. Tom Scharstein has asked to join our meeting via Google Hangouts.  As Google Hangouts can have several people on a call (or hangout) at the same time, if anybody else would like to attend that way please let me know so I can set things up properly.

As always our meeting with be at 7pm (eastern) in the Community Room within Deep Roots Market in downtown Greensboro.  If anybody has any questions or needs more information do not hesitate to ask.

August Meeting

Our meeting for August will be, Thursday August 10.
7pm Deep Roots Market Community Room.

July 2017 Meeting

Our meeting this month, July, will be this coming Thursday, July 13 at 7:00pm in the Community Room at Deep Roots Market of downtown Greensboro.  As I found out last month, downtown is virtually destroyed with construction so give yourself lots of time to get there.  

June 2017 Meeting

I am happy to say that this month I am available for the meeting!  My apologies for life getting in the way the past two months, that was unprecedented in the nearly ten years of the chapter.  This months meeting will be, Thursday June 8.  We will meet in the Community Room at Deep Roots Market in downtown Greensboro.  This month I am going to start a series that will carry us over the next few months; where we will watch an academy award winning movie about stuttering in 10 to 15 minute segments and then discuss.  As always, that is the plan but if somebody has something you just need to talk about, we of course will honor that.

April Meeting, Part 2

Due to a major conflict within my personal life, I have to say the meeting TOMORROW night, April 13, will not happen.  I will try to find another meeting time (and maybe place) later in the month, so stay tuned!

March Meeting

Sorry for the late posting but our meeting this month will be Thursday, March 9; one week from today.  We will meet at 7pm in the Community room at Deep Roots Market in downtown Greensboro.  If you need directions / address or anything just let me know.  My planned topic is this years 40th Anniversary Conference for the NSA.  Of course, as always  if YOU have something you want to discuss, I am more than happy to follow that topic.

Meeting for February 2017

Our meeting this month will be Thursday Feb. 9.  We will meet in the community room within Deep Roots Market in downtown Greensboro at 7:00pm.  The topic I have in mind, is "Porky Pig:  punchline, or roll model?"

January 2017 Meeting
