June 2014 Meeting is in a Different Location- Come hang out!

Today's meeting of the NC Triad chapter of the National Stuttering Association has been moved to a different location for this month.  The UNCG student center has been taken over by their orientation program.  We will be hanging out at Panera off Wendover Avenue (near I-40) starting at 7pm.  Last month we sat in the little area by the front door and will try to do so again.  This will be a more informal meeting/social gathering due to the location.  I apologize for the late notice.  Hope to see you there!

This is our last meeting before the NSA conference in DC the first week of July.  During the conference, they hold a silent auction to raise money for the NSA.  If you are interested in contributing an item to our chapter basket for the auction, please contact me.  These baskets usually contain items from the chapter's area or are related to a theme like movies or cooking.  We are totally open to ideas right now.

February 2014 Meeting is Cancelled

Due to the potential weather situation, the NC Triad chapter of the National Stuttering Association will not meet on Tuesday 2/11/14.  As a reminder, the registration for the NSA conference in Washington D.C. this July is now open (http://www.westutter.org/annual-conference/).  It is a wonderful experience!  The NSA has a video for people considering attending for the first time at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHvPSl4bg3I.  Hope everyone stays safe and warm.

January 2014 Chapter Meeting

The NC Triad chapter of the National Stuttering Association will meet this Tuesday 1/14 from 7-8:30pm in the Phillips room on the ground floor of Elliott University Center on the campus of UNCG.  We will discuss this year's NSA conference in Washington, D.C. from July 2-6 and resolutions for 2014.  For more information, you can check out the conference website (http://www.westutter.org/annual-conference/).

No June Meeting

Our June meeting is being cancelled because our regular meeting room is not available.  The whole building is being used during June for UNCG's orientation.

February 2013 Meeting

5/8/12 Meeting is Cancelled

Unfortunately, this morning we found out that the building we usually meet in is closing early today.  Since it is too late to move the meeting to another location, we have cancelled our May meeting.  We will meet again on June 12th.

Stutter Social- Like an Online Support Group

Does your schedule keep you from coming to one of our meetings but you're still interested in meeting other people who stutter?  There is a new online resource called "Stutter Social" that provides a group video conference call through Google+ to connect with other people who stutter.  More information can be found here: Stutter Social.
